What is an F-S-P SOLDIER? An F-S-P SOLDIER is predominately the

kind of person who wants to help in spreading the word to others because

he or she does believe in what the F-S-P is trying to do. Also there may be

some attribute that he or she has that may help the F-S-P cause.

But basically an F-S-P soldier should care about the game at all levels.

 Our research has said to us that there are so many supporters who

believe that the fans should have a strong and united voice.

We are looking for dedicated responsible football supporters to help spread the word .

Just ask yourself one question:

Has football become no more than just big business ?

and do the powers that preside over the whole issue ever consider the fans wishes.

Moreover, will the supporters ever be given the right to have there wishes undertaken.

My name is Barry Sweeting: I am the creator of the PRIDE design

for football supporters, which is now referred to as the F-S-P.

For over 20 years I have tried to get the powers that be within the

world of football and government to give us the average supporters

of club and national football a true voice within the game we all love.

After all if you take us the supporters out of the equation, where does

this leave the game ? and I also include T.V. Radio and Media companies

which have become so financially important to the shaping of  so many

changes within football at all levels from the top to the  financially unsound clubs.

My design has always been based on giving us  the supporters of football "PRIDE"

in  helping to fund football clubs and issues that basically cannot help themselves.

The proposed design has in the past been reviewed by government officials which does

include Margaret Thatcher PM and Kate Hoey minister for sport "who did refer to my

design as an innovation. But sadly rejected by the Football Association. Woo.

My design could not be more straight forward in its makeup, but would cost supporters

an extra £5 or £10 per season "sorry". I had proposed that all supporters who

enter football grounds in the British isles, pay a yearly licence fee which could be purchased

from various outlets set up by the powers that be, and all  cash raised to  be exempt from

taxation or fat cat expenditures, moreover to be funded from the national sports budget and

a central pool of finances from the more affluent side of clubs and governing bodies . In other

words "all cash raised from us supporters to remain whole. £ £ £ £ £ £ £ £ £ £ £ £ £ £ £ £ £ £ .

The monies raised each year would be used as an aid for football and supporters issues which

may be anything from grass roots to clubs being forced into closure. ( But here's the rub )

My design of Football-Supporters-Pride also stipulated that the supporters of football should

also have an active part of deciding how and were the funds raised from the licence fee should

be placed  ( via a fans vote line ) WHICH WE NOW REFER TO AS THE INTERNET. ?.

Sadly the years have passed and my unique idea has been rejected by the all powerful.  Hmm.

So I'm taking back my ball, and I'm turning directly to you. Are you up for it.

Final note: I think what upsets me most of all is that nether the government or the F.A

have ever given the average supporters of football the chance to  contribute to the

shaping of football, or its numerous financial aspects. Sure there are many supporters

clubs, even the F.A have there own one, but none has the power to sort out the whole

picture and since I first put forward the Football Supporters Pride design there has been

no end of supporters clubs-conglomerates and whatnots all spouting of about the way

they are here to sort out the problems in the beautiful game. The only problem

that I can see with this is there is now so many jostling for a position that it leaves the

supporters voice to be disjointed and in turn far weaker than if there was just one main

position which was there to spearhead the views of the fans. Therefore this surely
